The HTC Desire, was once the flagship handset for HTC and it’s now set to be pulled down several pegs following the recent releases of the new HTC Desire Z and most importantly, the HTC Desire HD. The Desire really is a brand which HTC are keen to support which is the reason they have released the HD and the Z to keep the Desire mobile going, keep it alive and make a couple of modifications that may keep the customers happy.

So with plenty of pleased customers, HTC can afford to keep chopping and changing their handsets given that the adjustments which they do make seem to keep their customers happy, which let’s be truthful is the main thing. They may be set to be releasing a brand new mobile in the U.S.A but right now there are people saying that actually it is not a totally new to the industry, new phone, it’s just the HTC Evo Shift 4G handset but somewhat adjusted for the benefit of those consumers who did not like the original one.

The HTC Desire, the first one was at the time of launch the ‘top of the food chain’ but it is now some way down the pecking order in terms of the best mobile phones. With the release of these latest devices you may say that it’s pretty much back down at the bottom of the chain, since it has a lot of things that aren’t going in its favour like the fact that it’s using a classic edition of Android, 2.1 and also the components on the phone, well actually they’re pretty similar to the other, newer devices so due to that it’s keeping up with the rest. Or you could possibly say that it’s simply because the more recent handsets aren’t being updated with the latest bits and bobs and they’re being kept at best pretty average.

If you do have to have one of the older versions of the HTC Desire, then I’m certain if you had a proper browse around for one of these devices then as it’s a fairly outdated one and there are at least two newer models, that we know of that have been unveiled, you must definitely be able to find some cheapish HTC Desire deals. But what you mustn’t do is expect it to become available on a really cheap tariff and then when you do find the cheapest you can, don’t feel let down because it’s more money than you thought it would be.
